This Friday the 13th (FEB) UnderLand ditches the teddybears,red roses and chocolates to bring you an Alternative Live Music and DJ Danceparty that is CARVED.A FRIDAY the 13th VALENTINE. Fresh blood for our Cape Town stages is newly formed Esoteric Post Punk band VENACAVA. A unique and fresh prospective on alternative music, wetting our palettes and bringing oxygenated blood to our Valentine hearts………
Grabbing the knife and fork after Venacava is DJ Minstrel Princess, slicing out a bloody good set, we feast together on the dancefloor. Scraping their fingers down our subconscious blackboard is our final band. Their sound? Imagine this. ……David Lynch, Quentin Tarantino,Nike Cave and Bauhaus give birth to a band. They name it The Black Nails. Valentines is about love, doesn’t have to be romantic. Its about CARVING out some time with the ones you love…the ones that have your back…the ones that usually wear black.
