Six years later, after hundreds of shows, thousands of songs, countless late nights and more than a few stories best left untold, we’re celebrating the only way we know how.

On Friday 02 October, Crimson House returns to Stellenbosch to headline the Daisy Jones 6th Birthday Bash.
For more than a decade, Riaan Smit and his merry gang of musical troublemakers have built a reputation as one of South Africa’s most captivating live acts. Part gypsy caravan, part rock and roll revival, part travelling circus, Crimson House occupies a world entirely of its own. Blues, folk, ska, cabaret, Afro-grooves and pure chaos collide in a show that somehow feels both wildly unpredictable and completely in control.
Their songs can move from a whisky-soaked whisper to a full-blown dance floor riot in the space of a few minutes.
And that’s exactly why we love them.
Joining the celebration are Cape Town favourites Dukes of Note, bringing their own brand of groove-heavy good-time music to get the evening properly underway. Expect big songs, big energy and the kind of set that reminds you why live music beats staying home every single time.
Set against the vineyards of Summerhill Wine Estate, this promises to be one of those classic Daisy Jones nights. Friends gathered around tables. Glasses raised. Strangers becoming mates. A packed dance floor. A few songs everyone knows. A few songs nobody expected.
