Join us for a genre-blending night of sound and soul featuring four local alternative artists, each delivering a 30-minute live set of their own original music. From sad Afrobeats and punk rock energy to internationally-inspired soulful rap and alternative hip hop with a South African twist, our Emo Africans on stage explore what it means to find your own voice as an artist, and how staying true to your own unique tastes can lead you along an alternative path. Emotional expression is given a safe space here, as we embrace our vulnerabilities and take up space as Emo Africans.
